build: AOSP/CM14 fixes (API 24/25, mainly BusyBox-less environment)
These changes are needed by any ROM where devices are configured to
use TOOLBOX/TOYBOX instead of BUSYBOX (i.e., TW_USE_TOOLBOX := true).
