Changing twrp breaks theming, presumably in all branches (android 9 for sure since I have problem on it). The problem, as far as I have researched, is in file "gui.cpp" located inside folder "android_bootable_recovery/gui/" on github. I am referring to lines 819 (presumably) and 853 of gui.cpp. The folder location that is appended to "theme_path" variable is "/TWRP/theme/ui.zip" which breaks the purpose of changing the recovery folder. Kindly look into this.
After the holidays I'll take a look, if I find a solution I'll send a different patch with just that fix.
It's actually a different problem, some people prefer to use devices without encryption using for example the "universal-dm-verity-forceencrypt-disk-quota-disabler". And when the device is unencrypted, TWRP, from branch 10 and higher, doesn't keep the folder change correctly after boot, creating a new TWRP folder.
